Professional Pilates tuition for Farnborough and surrounding areas
I first started practising Pilates 15 years ago, and was amazed at the effect Pilates had on my body. It improved my posture, stabilised my core and made me feel strong (especially during 2 pregnancies)! I experience the benefits of Pilates every day and it has become an integral part of my life.
Having qualified as a Body Control Pilates teacher I am now focused on teaching and passing on the benefits to others, whether it be through their rehabilitation, part of a regular exercise programme or to challenge skill and stamina.

Evolution Pilates
Pilates improves strength, stamina, flexibility, posture and ease of movement through a holistic approach to exercise. Pilates courses are designed to restore the body’s natural balance through precise movements and sequences based upon an anatomical understanding of the physiology of the human body. Programs are based around the principles of concentration, control, centring, breathing, precision and flow.
Pilates is challenging but has the flexibility to be modified to suit all ages and abilities from the first-time exerciser or bad back sufferer to the professional athlete. Pilates can create an evenly conditioned body and is commonly recommended by GP’s, osteopaths and physiotherapists to help overcome injury and improve posture.
Since 1996, Body Control Pilates has been at the forefront of the international growth in Pilates. Body Control Pilates is widely seen as a benchmark for safe and effective teaching of the highest quality. Their teacher training courses are the most comprehensive of their kind in the world and once qualified their teachers follow a Code of Practice governing teaching standards, professional ethics and continuing education. This ensures that teachers continue to build their own skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis providing their clients with the very best possible experience.
I have 15 years experience enjoying Pilates across Matwork, Reformer and small apparatus. I trained with Body Control Pilates in London who are the Gold Standard in Pilates education and training. Their expectations are high, and the training is rigorous so as to uphold high standards and safeguard their reputation. This is why I chose Body Control, and use their stringent exercise expectations for all my classes.
I have Level 3 qualification in Matwork, and also have trained in Pregnancy and Antenatal Pilates. I like to use apparatus such as small balls, therabands and spiky massage balls to deepen the challenge, change the emphasis for an exercise, challenge stability or provide valuable feedback.
Classes are kept small so that I can ensure a more personalised service, and you can see progress quickly but safely.
My classes have a maximum of 12 students and last one hour. My classes are kept small to ensure the highest standard of teaching, ensuring that you receive individual attention for your personal needs. Sessions include both freestanding and mat exercises with light weights being introduced to help strengthen muscles but not add bulk. All equipment is provided, please wear appropriate clothing and bring water. Pilates is usually conducted barefoot or in socks, so no fancy footwear is needed.
My classes are organised in a half-termly blocks following the school year. Each class is specifically designed as part of a programme of progression over the course of the term and ‘drop ins’ are not advised, but can be accommodated when there are spaces available. Classes can either be booked in term or half-term blocks and must be paid in full before the block commences.
Group classes can only run with committed clients. When signing up for a term you are buying your space in that class. Your space will then no longer be available for us to sell to anyone else – it’s your spot! This ensures the groups are steady which allows for your progression in terms of strength, knowledge and ability. If you have booked a group class for a term but cannot make all the sessions, you may attend any of the other classes I am currently running so long as there is space and the level is appropriate. Credits, discounts or refunds are not offered. Thank you for your understanding.
I am happy to offer one to one or small group tuition in the comfort of your own home. Individual tuition is useful for remedial purposes for recovery from injuries or for building strength and stamina at a more convenient time.
